The Estate is delighted to announce that an extensive film festival celebrating the work of Noël Coward is taking place at the renowned independent venue, Film Festival, located on West Houston St in New York City.
The festival is running from the 13-19 May - the full schedule, and tickets, are available here. It runs the gamut of Coward's brilliant film career showing films that he produced, directed, wrote and starred in as well as screen adaptations of his classic plays. Highlights of the season include the romantic classic BRIEF ENCOUNTER, based on Coward's short play STILL LIFE, adapted for the screen by Coward himself and directed by David Lean; CAVALCADE the Best Picture Oscar winner from 1934 adapted from Coward's pageant play from the same name; IN WHICH WE SERVE, a film written, co-directed, produced and starring Coward as well as one of his memorable early appearances as a sharp-tongued publisher in THE SCOUNDREL.
